Best Property
The Town purchased five lots from the Best family on August 18, 2012. A requirement of using Community Preservation Act funds for the purchase was to designate two of the five lots (#4 and #5) as open space.
As part of an Eagle Scout project, remnants of an old stone barn foundation was uncovered. A kiosk explaining the history of the barn is located on the property. A field stone wall lies along the edge of the property. There is a hayfield on the parcel; future use may include community gardens.
